So what happens when a soft drink company disguises a top NASCAR driver and has him take an unsuspecting car salesman on a wild ride?
Pepsi put a fake goatee on Jeff Gordon, who pretends to a guy checking out a 2009 Camaro.
Once in the car, Gordon takes the supposedly uniformed salesman on a wild ride — exceeding speed limits, flying up ramps and generally terrifying the guy.
Upon returning to the car lot, the salesman is furious until he’s let in on the joke.

How would you feel if the victim is someone you know, and you see this ad make a joke out of it?
A decent thing to do is for the advertiser to:
(1) apologize to the family for the victim for making a joke out of such a situation,
(2) stop the ad campaign to avoid copycat pranks in real life that endangers the lives of real people in car sales.
Does the advertiser, and the prankster have the courage to do the right thing?
A. Slow news day
B. 680news trying to keep up with today’s trends
C. Misconception that this video must be the only and greatest prank ever posted online
D. Pepsi Co. sponsors Rogers and its subsidiaries
E. All of the above
Who is Jeff Gordon? I had to Google his name to find out. For this subpar prank to be praised on a pedestal and actually make headlines on a locally inspired news station, this is quite pathetic 680.
FAKE, wish it was not scripted. Things like ideal camera angles, perfectly placed cup holder for camera in pop can, odd reaction by salesman, etc. Good add I suppose, just not real.
Great commercial, wish I was the sale rep, but there are a few red flags…the Camaro came back for 2010, the window displays ’09 and there is no cup holder that high, it’s a ciip-on to the air vent.
This was entertaining but how would it have worked out if this overweight salesguy had a heart attack?
I know I would have been scared s…less, especially the ride over the loading dock.
I think this was way overboard and if Pepsi sponsored this prank they are out of their minds.
