TORONTO, Ont. – A woman is in police custody after she crashed her vehicle into the front steps of a home in Toronto’s west end.
It happened just after 2 a.m. Saturday near Martin Grove and Rathburn roads.
The driver was travelling at a high speed when she took out a hydro pole, hit a nearby tree and eventually hit the home.
The 23-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, but there has been no word on whether charges will be pressed.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

No word on charges….which is code for its a cop’s wife, daughter etc.
You can’t be charged with “suspicion of being impaired”… only held until you agree to take the Breathalyzer, and if that set of test proves it; then bang, your nailed! Refusing delays things till they get a warrant, or you pass out, and the medics get a blood sample from you. Then you are still nailed if after all that time has passed; and you’re still over the legal limit!
Hopefully 680news will update this story to say “she has been charged with…..
I think it’s code for there’s only been a few hours since the accident, therefore charges have not been laid…sheesh.
