The brass plaques commemorating Canada’s fallen soldiers that went missing from the Highway of Heroes 401 overpass have been found.
Police said the plaques were temporarily removed from the overpass to allow maintenance work to be done.
However, nobody advised the True Patriot Love Foundation, which originally installed the plaques.
The plaques are in safe hands and will be reinstalled.
The two plaques were missing from the Highway 401 overpass at Victoria Park between December 2012 and February 2013.

It’s bitter-sweet news…. Happy that they were not stolen and have been located, however our troops really needed those sheilds.
Not from me Dave. I agree wholeheartedly.
When the culprits are found, I think the best punishment would be send them to Afganastan so that they can be shields for our troops…
