TORONTO, Ont. – A woman has been sent to hospital with very serious injuries after her car crashed into the side of a TTC bus in the city’s west end.
The incident happened just before 10 a.m. Sunday in the Royal York Road and Lakeshore Boulevard area.
It’s believed the woman, who was the only occupant of the car, was travelling quickly when she went through a stop sign and hit the left side of the bus, which was making a routine stop at the time.
A male passenger on the bus was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
It took nearly half-an-hour to get the woman out of the car, and an investigation in the area had the roads closed for several hours.
There has been no word on whether alcohol may have been involved in the crash or whether charges could be laid.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Might be an issue with my eye sight. Looks like the left side of the bus got hit in the photo and not the right as reported.
It was the left side, thanks!
The report says her car hit the right side of the bus but the picture shows the other right.
