TORONTO, Ont. – Police are on the lookout after the occupants of a car that plowed into a home near Kipling and Finch avenues ran away.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Mt Olive and Dorward drives in northwest Toronto.
The damage to the home is estimated at nearly $20,000, according to police.
“I was upstairs getting ready for bed and all of a sudden there was this awful thump and the house was shaken,” said homeowner Shirley Benn.
“It was really shocking. Shook me up a bit but we’re OK.”
It is unclear if there were several occupants in the vehicle or just the driver.
Anyone who may have noticed something in the area at the time is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
