BRAMPTON, Ont. – Peel Regional Police said an assault case is now a homicide investigation after an 83-year-old Brampton man who was injured in an altercation died Wednesday.
Beres Grayson died Wednesday of injuries he sustained in an incident at his Earth Star Trail home on Feb. 14.
Grayson was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital, where he remained in critical condition and on life support until his death.
Nathanial Hunter was arrested on scene and charged with aggravated assault.
Police said officers are consulting with the Crown about upgrading the charge against Hunter, 32, when he appears in Brampton court on Friday.
