LONDON – Andy Murray is going into the hotel business after buying a property near his hometown in Scotland.
The third-ranked Briton plans to transform the Cromlix House Hotel close to Dunblane into a 15-room, five-star property.
The U.S. Open and Olympic champion says he is “pleased to be able to give something back to the community I grew up in.”
The hotel is set to re-open in spring 2014 and will be managed on Murray’s behalf by Inverlochy Castle Management International.
Murray’s brother Jamie married Alejandra Gutierrez at the hotel in 2010.
