York U football coach charged with child luring

A coach with the York University Lions football team has been charged with child-luring.

Toronto police allege the man engaged in online and text chats with a 16-year-old boy. The teen sent pictures of himself to the accused using his cellphone, police claim.

The accused allegedly began contacting the boy in December 2012 and continued to speak with him over the phone and internet until February.

Daniel Younis, 24, is charged with luring a child under 18 and attempting to make child pornography. At the time of his arrest, Younis was the recruiting coordinator and running back coach for the Lions.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Younis will appear in court on Friday
