NDP MP Olivia Chow was back in her Toronto riding on Friday, pitching a long-term infrastructure and transportation plan.
But the question that she always gets asked when she’s home popped up: Will she run for mayor of Toronto in 2014?
The Trinity Spadina MP and former city councillor is still not saying no.
“I love this city. This is my home. We have serious issues facing our city, whether it’s crumbling Gardiner or fixing our subways and streetcar lines,” Chow said. “We need leadership in all levels of government.”
She did say 2014 is still a long way off and she’s still listening very carefully to what ordinary Torontonians are telling her.

Of course she will! Better to be a big fish in a small pond then a small fish in a big pond. The woman can’t go 1 week without jumping in front of a microphone. Then Toronto will really go to hell. She knows how to run off at the mouth but really doesn’t have the intelligence to run anything. Time she went back to her flower powered bicycle.
I will be voting for her:)
God help us if this Leftest spend spend spend politician gets elected as mayor of Toronto.
For a politician, not saying no or sometimes even saying no, means a yes.
Sorry but I will be voting for Ford once again. Go Ford.
I agree, if you think Toronto is expensive now, just wait!
Good luck to her if she does decide to run, the way the lefty media has been dragging Ford around, she better get all her skeletons drycleaned before the righty media start opening her closets.
The bar has been set for political “journalism” in Toronto and it’s very, very low.
