OAKVILLE, Ont. – Halton police will be cracking down on drivers who speed on residential streets in Oakville as part of “Project Five-O.”

The blitz will for a one-week period starting on Feb. 21.

In a release, Halton police said, “officers will focus on residential streets that have been identified as having low driver compliance for the posted speed limit and for stop signs.”

On Feb. 13, a 40-year-old man from Richmond Hill, Ont., was caught driving 103 kilometres an hour on a 50-kilometre-an-hour residential street in Oakville. He was charged with stunt driving.
