TORONTO, Ont. – Canadian Pacific Rail Police are appealing for help from the public to identify the owner of a skateboard found at the site of a rail car arson.
Toronto police said a rail car containing 10 new Honda CRVs — valued at about $400,000 — was set on fire while in the Canadian Pacific Rail Yard near Runnymede Road and St. Clair Avenue West on Feb. 10, 2012.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office determined the fire was initiated using an accelerant and was arson.
Police said the owner of the skateboard is a person of interest, not a suspect.
Police have released images of the skateboard.
