TORONTO – It’s Valentine’s Day and couples across the city will be out-and-about celebrating and showing their affection.

According to a new U.S. survey, it suggests Cupid is making a comeback.

Up from recent years, the survey finds a quarter of people asked say they’re going be spending money on their partner for Valentine’s Day.

For men, the average will be just over $84, while women are expected to spend $48 each.

The most popular way to spend Valentine’s Day is a dinner date, while buying chocolates is also on the list, followed by flowers.

For men, one in three asked said they wouldn’t mind the gift of electronics.
