TORONTO – The City of Toronto’s striking committee is recommending Etobicoke North Councillor Vincent Crisanti be the newest member of the mayor’s powerful executive committee.

The executive committee is the mayor’s inner circle and Crisanti has been an ally of Mayor Rob Ford.

Ford’s most vocal critic, Adam Vaughan, wanted the job but was rejected.

The striking committee is also recommending the appointment of speaker, Councillor Frances Nunziata to the budget committee.

She was the only one interested in the position.

City council will formalize the appointments next week.
