TORONTO – Jay Baruchel, Enrico Colantoni and Catherine O’Hara are among the stars who will be handing out trophies at the inaugural Canadian Screen Awards.
The new awards show, honouring the best in Canadian film and television, will be hosted by Martin Short in Toronto on March 3.
Other presenters include Kim Coates, James Cromwell, Arlene Dickinson, Erica Durance, Marc-André Grondin, Allan Hawco, Brad Smith and Meg Tilly.
The awards will air live on CBC-TV, including a red carpet pre-show with comedian Shaun Majumder.
Last year, the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television announced it would replace the separate Gemini and Genie television and film awards with the new Canadian Screen Awards, saying the new show would be “a true reflection of the multiplatform universe of today.”
