It may bring back memories of elementary school, being told to keep quiet while working on an activity or during reading periods.

GO train service has introduced quiet zones, beginning Monday, for a three-month pilot project.

The quiet zones are located on the upper level of trains on the Barrie GO line, from Barrie to Union Station.

In these zones, talking on cell phones is prohibited, as well as talking to anyone sitting nearby.

Anyone who cannot handle silence is being advised to sit on the other two levels.
