TORONTO, Ont. – A man was rushed to hospital Wednesday morning after he was shot in an apartment building near Gerrard and River streets.
Authorities were called to the scene at 220 Oak St. around 7 a.m.
The 45-year-old victim was shot in the back. He was said to be conscious and breathing when he was transported to hospital.
There’s no word yet on a suspect.
Wednesday’s shooting happened in the same area where 15-year-old Tyson Bailey was murdered last month.
The Central Tech junior football star was shot four times in the stairwell of an apartment building at 605 Whiteside Pl., near Dundas and River streets, on Jan. 18.
