TORONTO, Ont. – OPP have two males in custody after a high speed pursuit that started along Hwy. 407 and ended just before 8 a.m. Tuesday at Dixie Rd. and Clark Blvd. in Brampton.

Police told CityNews Channel that the suspects fled a traffic stop near Hwy. 401 and Kipling Ave.

The pursuit travelled along Hwy. 401 to northbound Hwy. 410 to Steeles Ave. where the vehicle exited and went eastbound on Steeles Ave.

The car then headed northbound on Dixie Rd before crashing at Clark Blvd.

OPP allowed the pursuit to continue at the time with traffic being light along the pursuit route.

The suspects drove the vehicle into a pole at the intersection of Dixie Rd. and Clark Blvd.

Two suspects have been taken into custody, one adult suspect was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

An OPP cruiser was also damaged in the collision but they did not cause the collision.

The SIU will be called in due to the suspect’s injuries.

That intersection remains closed as police investigate.
