A fire has engulfed multiple homes on Beaconsfield Avenue in the Steeles Avenue West and Chinguacousy Road area of Brampton on Friday.

There’s no word on the cause of the fire.

The house in the middle was completely gutted,  two house on either side of the house are badly damaged and witnesses said that the flames spread quickly.

Neighbour Sunny told CityNews that “We were all home and inside and all of a sudden we heard noises. And my mom saying Evacuate! Evacuate! Fire! Fire!”

Rob Kerr, platoon chief with Brampton fire told 680News that the damage will likely top $1-million.

“One of them is complete and the other two don’t look real good – they may also be written off, but I’m not sure at this point,” Kerr said.

Kerr also said it looks like the fire started in the garage of one of the homes and the fire was brought under control a few hours later but crews are still on the scene.

Peel police said one person was treated for smoke inhalation.
