TORONTO, Ont. – An investigation is underway after police found a man in his car suffering from a gunshot wound at an Esso station at 2291 Islington Avenue, just north of Rexdale Boulevard.

Initial reports indicate the man was rushed to hospital with what are being considered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police tell 680News the victim was shot while in his car at an address on Bergamot Avenue and he drove himself to the Esso, where he was found.

The victim is believed to be in his mid 20s.

Police are currently searching for at least one suspect, but a description has not yet been released.
