TORONTO, Ont. – A Jazz Air flight on its way to Pittsburgh had to turn around just south of Caledonia Tuesday night after it was struck by lightning.

Jazz Flight 8036 turned around and was able to make an emergency landing without incident, officials told 680News.

While many people were likely spooked, Peel police said nobody was injured in the incident.

Emergency officials responded to the scene as a precaution, with mechanic crews now examining the plane for safety.
