Suspect identified in east-end shooting

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police have identified a suspect sought in connection with a shooting in the city’s east-end Thursday evening.
The suspect has been identified as Javell Jackson, 19, of Toronto.
The shooting took place around 7 p.m. on Felstead Avenue near Danforth Avenue and Greenwood Avenue, police said.
According to police, the suspect became involved in a verbal dispute with a group of men.
The suspect left the scene and returned with a handgun.
After a second dispute, the victim was shot in the back, police said.
He was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
The suspect was last seen in a 2002 black Hyundai Santa Fe with Ontario licence plate BPBZ 292.
Police ask anyone who sees the man to call 911.
