BURLINGTON, Ont. – Halton Regional Police have located a missing elderly man who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Shortly before 11 p.m., Halton police said a parks officer encountered a single-vehicle collision on Milborough Town Line north of Campbellville Sideroad in Milton.
Police said the vehicle had struck a tree.
The vehicle belonged to Gerard (Gerry) Hoolboom, 82, who was reported missing Wednesday morning.
Hoolboom was located conscious and sustained minor injuries.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
His family has been notified.

So glad he has been found safe, but I have to wonder why he was driving if he has Alzheimer’s? This could have been much worse if he hit another car.
