TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto Police have laid a first-degree murder charge in relation to the body of a woman that was found in Etobicoke Saturday.

A woman’s body was found by police around 7 a.m. on Richgrove Driver, in the Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue area, after police were called there for an unknown trouble.

The woman, 27, was pronounced dead on the scene and police say the body had obvious signs of trauma.

Approximately two hours later, with the assistance of Peel police, Toronto police arrested a man in the Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue area.

He was set to appear in court Sunday afternoon.
