High-wattage star Eva Longoria of “Desperate Housewives” fame has a new job.

She’s starring in, and executive producing the new series, “Mother Up!” — a half-hour adult-animated comedy that will premiere as part of Citytv’s prime-time lineup this fall.

“It’s kind of challenging to create a character in a sound booth,” Longoria said, in an interview with Citytv’s Tracy Moore.

In the animated comedy, Longoria voices the character of Rudi Wilson, a former high-powered music executive who loses her job and takes on the task of new motherhood in suburbia.

Longoria said a lot of the writing was inspired by real life “Mommy Blogs.”
