TORONTO, Ont. – A 74-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough Thursday night.
Toronto police say the victim was struck while crossing Lawrence Avenue from the north to the south side when he was struck by a 58-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Impala westbound on Lawrence Avenue in the passing lane.
The man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say weather was not a factor and pedestrian error is being investigated.
So far, no charges have been laid.
