Boy, 15, struck by vehicle in Scarborough dies from injuries

TORONTO, Ont. – A 15-year-old boy hit by a vehicle in Scarborough last week has died from his injuries.

Toronto police say the boy died in hospital Friday.

The teenager was taken to hospital in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle Dec. 20 near Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue.

Police say a 49-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck southbound on Kennedy Road, in the centre turn lane, approaching Treverton Drive at about 8:15 p.m.

The identity of the boy has not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.

So far, no charges have been laid.
