Police stand guard as money transferred after Brinks truck involved in crash

TORONTO, Ont. – Ontario Provincial Police officers had to stand guard while bags of money were transferred after a Brinks truck was involved in a crash.

It’s believed snow likely played a factor in the crash, which saw a Brinks truck collide with the guardrail on the southbound lanes of Highway 427 near Dundas Street.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m., and soon after a second Brinks truck arrived to take the money from the first truck.

Police stood guard as the transfer happened, and eventually the scene was cleared.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
