TORONTO, Ont. – Ontario Provincial Police officers had to stand guard while bags of money were transferred after a Brinks truck was involved in a crash.
It’s believed snow likely played a factor in the crash, which saw a Brinks truck collide with the guardrail on the southbound lanes of Highway 427 near Dundas Street.
The crash happened around 3:30 a.m., and soon after a second Brinks truck arrived to take the money from the first truck.
Police stood guard as the transfer happened, and eventually the scene was cleared.
No injuries were reported in the incident.

@almight dollar. The reason that they are there is because if someone tries to take the money the guards could end up dead, or how about an innocent bystander because the theves wont care who they hurt to get the money. Then you’d be screaming “Why weren’t the police there, they should have known something would happen” l guess thats why they make these decisions and not you.
But, you can’t dare stand guard to protect your home!
This is living proof that money is more important than a human life. Where are all these police guards to protect police officers, EMS workers, and construction workers on highways when so many of them are hit and killed by drivers.
