3 in hospital after separate crashes in East Gwillimbury

York Police confirmed media officers Sergeant Kelly Bachoo and Police Constable Andy Pattenden are in serious, but stable condition.

EAST GWILLIMBURY, Ont. – Three people, including two police officers, are in hospital after two separate collisions in East Gwillimbury near Mt. Albert Road, just west of Kennedy Road.

Two York region police officers, a staff sergeant and constable, have serious but non-life threatening injuries after a collision with a pickup truck.

Police confirm media officers Sgt. Kelly Bachoo and Const. Andy Pattenden are in serious condition after being airlifted to two Toronto hospitals Thursday evening.

The pickup driver suffered minor injuries.

Earlier Thursday, a man was airlifted to hospital Thursday after sustaining life-threatening injuries in a collision in East Gwillimbury.

Police responded to a serious collision at about 12:45 p.m. near Mt. Albert Road and Hwy. 48.
