Missing the office Christmas party might be a good thing

If you’re stuck working during your office Christmas party there may be a bright side.

A Norwalk expert said Christmas parties are causing the Norwalk virus to spread rapidly.

He said people who have recovered from the virus are attending office functions while still being infectious.

Ian Clarke, professor of Molecular Microbiology and Virology at the University of Southampton, claims that people can remain contagious until three weeks after they have recovered from the Norovirus.

Clarke said that the hugging or kissing coworkers may continue to spread the infection without even realizing it.
