TORONTO, Ont. – A pre-Christmas extravaganza is again being hosted by 680News and Citytv’s “Breakfast Television” to support the Daily Bread Food Bank.

680News and Citytv will host “Spirit of the Season,” an annual day-long festivity, which begins at 5:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Centre.

“We have food, lots of music, prizes,” Breakfast Television’s Kevin Frankish said. “It’s great to meet and see all the viewers.”

Canadian R&B singer Dru, Juno-nominated singer Suzie McNeil and Canada’s Got Talent finalist Emilio Fina will perform.

Coverage will continue throughout Friday on CityNews Channel, CityNews at Five and CityNews at Six.

Listeners are invited to drop by with a nutritious, non-perishable food item or monetary donation for Daily Bread Food Bank to enter to win over $5,000 in prizes, and to meet their favourite 680News, Breakfast Television and CityNews on-air personalities.

Food and money donations can be dropped off in the lobby of the Sheraton Centre between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m.

“Even if you can’t make it down, we encourage you to donate at dailybread.ca,” Frankish said.
