Man dies after being struck by vehicle in Scarborough

TORONTO, Ont. – A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough Thursday morning.

Toronto police say the 68-year-old victim was crossing Sheppard Avenue East near Kennedy Road when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle shortly before 8 a.m.

He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police shut down the intersection for the investigation.

There is no word on whether charges will be laid.
