680News launches new content & comment system

We at 680News have launched a revamped content management system today. This is the program we use to create and edit content.

Commenting has changed slightly.

You can still comment on any story as you always have – or you can use Twitter or Facebook to log in.

All our comments are moderated by editors before we publish them. However, you can also contribute by rating other people’s comments – use the “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” buttons. You can also mark a comment as offensive using the “Mark as offensive” button.

If you’re looking for previously-published comments, unfortunately they are no longer on the current system.

Otherwise, we are still highlighting our best content for you.

KEY FEATURES

As always, the key sections in the navigation bar at the top of the site are LISTEN, NEWS, TRAFFIC AND WEATHER.

When you click on any of these sections, you can use the menus to choose the information you want.

Under TRAFFIC, you’ll find the traffic cameras you’re used to – choose your highways, pick your favourites and plan your route.

Under WEATHER, you’ll see current temperatures and forecasts are constantly updated, including our meteorologists’ five-day forecast, so you know how to plan your day around the weather.

Under LISTEN, you can listen to 680News LIVE, including live traffic and business reports.

Remember ALL of our reports are available in the LISTEN section as well, including pages such as Globiz with showbiz editor Gloria Martin and Music with music reporter Rudy Blair.

The 680News Insider Club and Mike Flash promotion remain the same.

We hope you like the site!
