A 29-year-old woman from Toronto, identified by police as Stacy Capecchi, has died after a crash in Caledon early Sunday morning.
The woman was a passenger in a car which rolled off McLaughlin Road north of The Grange Side Road and landed in a drainage ditch.
The woman and the man who was driving were trapped in the partially submerged SUV until emergency crews arrived around 3:30 a.m.
Rescue workers freed them from the car and took them to Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville.
The woman died in hospital while the man remains there with serious injuries.
