TORONTO, Ont. – A man accused of trying to ram a police officer with a car and hitting three pedestrians in the Yonge and Eglinton streets area last week has been arrested.
Toronto police confirmed to 680News Steven Paul Brunswick, 47, was tackled and arrested by police in the Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue West area, Thursday morning, after running through some backyards.
Police have been on the hunt for Brunswick for a facin33week.
On Friday, police allege the suspect robbed a Winners store in Leaside, and as police tried to pull over the suspect near Yonge and Eglinton, he tried to run down a police officer, but hit three pedestrians instead.
One woman had to be treated in hospital for her injuries.
Police also said the same suspect evaded police and left a couple of unmarked police vehicles damaged early Wednesday morning near Bathurst Street and Lawrence Avenue West.
Brunswick is facing charges, including attempted murder and fail to remain. He is expected to make a court appearance Thursday.
