Dog stolen from outside Eaton Centre: Report

TORONTO, Ont. – A couple says their dog was stolen after they left their pet tied outside the Eaton Centre before heading into the mall, according to a report.

Bailey, a five-year old shepherd retriever mix was tied near the Queen Street entrance while they ran inside, the couple told Global News Toronto.

“I came out and he just wasn’t there. Somebody left a note saying that he had looked abandoned and that he was taking him home with him,” the owner of the dog said.

“He left a number, which actually reassured me.”

The number left on the pole was incorrect.

Posters with the dog’s picture were posted in the area Thursday afternoon.

The dog has long black fur and is micro-chipped.

The couple hopes that whoever has Bailey will contact authorities.
