TORONTO, Ont. – The city’s Victim Services is receiving a large fundraising cheque, Friday.
Police Chief Bill Blair is presenting the cheque for almost $150,000 dollars, raised at a gala in November.
Victim Services aims to help victims of crime rebuild their lives. It is the only city organization which provides on-site support to victims of crime and serious tragedies.
In 2011, the organization helped almost 20,000 people.
