Two of the candidates running to become Ontario’s next Premier say they support the idea of selling beer and wine in the province’s corner stores.
Sandra Pupatello and Glenn Murray endorsed the idea put forward by provincial Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak in Thursday evening’s one-hour debate at the Canadian Club.
The McGuinty government has come out against privatizing the LCBO because of concerns of lost revenue.
The Liberals will choose their next leader at a convention the last weekend of January.
