TORONTO, Ont. – Police will be launching their annual “lock it or lose it” campaign Friday morning at Yorkdale Mall.
The campaign encourages drivers to take a few simple precautions over the holidays to make sure valuables are not stolen from their car.
To start the campaign police will be going through the parking lot looking for unlocked cars, and reminding drivers to lock up their vehicle.
Peel Regional Police, meanwhile, will be kicking off the same campaign Friday morning at Shoppers World.
The campaign comes only shortly after police warned of a string of break-and-enters that are targeting high-end vehicles around the city.
