Not in the mood to do your Christmas shopping at the mall? According to a new survey, you’re not alone.

A national online survey by Vision Critical found that almost 50 per cent of Canadians plan to do their shopping online or on their cell phone using mobile apps.

Shoppers said the reason they’ve turned to their computer is because of convenience.

Thirty-four per cent said they do it to avoid in store hassles and save time, while seven per cent said shopping online saves them money.

So who are we buying all these gifts for? Canadians surveyed said on average they buy gifts for nine people, spend nearly $600 on the gifts and about 11 hours looking for them.

Of course, 42 per cent said the hardest person to shop for is their significant other.
