Homework clubs and after-school help are now being cancelled because of escalating job action by Ontario teachers.
The Toronto Star reported schools in Durham, Toronto and Halton have put some after-school homework clubs on hold because the teachers’ union has instructed its members not to stay after school as of Dec. 10.
The union head said teachers will instead change their lesson plans to allow more time for help during class or at lunch.
