Local authorities say an Ontario woman who died in Africa was the victim of foul play.
Susan Wells, 41, died in Tanzania late last month on what family members say was her sixth trip to the country.
Police told the CBC the Collingwood woman was attacked and killed by someone with a machete.
Consular officials are working with local authorities to find out exactly what happened in relation to her death.
The body is being returned to Canada and formal charges are expected to be laid soon.
