WOODSTOCK, Ont. – A high-speed police chase in southern Ontario early Tuesday ended with a crash just outside Woodstock that left two people injured.

Officers who spotted the vehicle on Highway 3 began a pursuit that at times reached speeds of 160 km/h before the Jeep headed onto Highway 19 north of Tillsonburg.
Const. Michelle Murphy says police put a spike belt on the road but the driver avoided it, then crashed into a transport truck parked on the shoulder (near Sweaburg Road) and collided with an OPP cruiser, ejecting the driver of the Jeep.
The Jeep driver and the truck driver were both taken to hospital with minor injuries.
