TORONTO, Ont. – A 26-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a taxi cab in the city’s west end Sunday morning.
The man was allegedly involved in a dispute with another cab driver when a police officer arrived and told him to cross the street and wait to be interviewed.
As the man attempted to cross the street reports indicate he was struck by a different cab and driver than he had initially been involved with.
The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. in the Queensway and Park Lawn Road area.
There has been no word on whether there will be any charges in relation to the original dispute between the cab driver and man, or whether there will be charges related to the man being struck.
The Special Investigations Unit probed the incident but decided an SIU investigation was not necessary.
