CALEDONIA, Ont. – Police have identified a mother and son killed in a six-vehicle crash near Caledonia Friday afternoon.
Amanda Fleming, 28, and her three-year-old son Denver Sherk died after their SUV crossed the road on the Highway 6 bypass and was hit by a transport truck. The SUV then struck four other vehicles.
Fleming was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
Her son died later in hospital.
The other drivers were not hurt.
Ontario Provincial Police are investigating whether icy roads were a factor in the collision.
