Raffi upset after the suicide of bullied teen

Children’s entertainer and advocate Raffi said he was “shaken” and “angry” when he heard about the death of Amanda Todd.

Todd committed suicide in October after she was bullied and sexually exploited online.

The musician will perform in Toronto on Sunday, says that’s why he co-founded the Red Hood Project Movement to make social media safe for young users.

“A group of us in B.C. came together and cowrote a letter to Sheryl Sandberg COO of Facebook and we said we urge you to make systematic changes in Facebook and redesign the platform for the safety for young users,” Raffi stated. “Don’t leave it up to the user…don’t say user beware.”

The Red Hood Project also includes a website, Facebook and a Twitter page.
