TORONTO, Ont. — The third annual Lowe’s Toronto Christmas Market lights up Friday night in the Distillery District.

The lighting ceremony kicked off at 6 p.m. with the lighting of a 45-foot decorated Christmas tree.

The event features something for everyone from a carousel, to building a gingerbread house and visits with Santa Claus.

Special guest Measha Brueggergosman performed Friday with performances with other choirs and brass bands playing all weekend.

A wine and beer garden is set up to help beat the cold temperatures this weekend.

The event runs all weekend and is free for everyone.
