Toronto Police has charged three people after an internal investigation at the TTC.
Police say one of the accused worked as a TTC collector. Following an audit, it was discovered that his cash float was $3800 short.
Investigators then say he tampered with token rolls in an effort to cover the theft.
The investigation also concluded two union representatives assisted the collector by destroying evidence.
The three men face a total of seven charges. Deodato Sousa, 54, John Wales, 63, and Clarke Smith, 53, are scheduled to appear in court in January.
