TORONTO, Ont. – Fire crews have successfully doused a two-alarm fire at 230 Oak Street, in the Dundas and River area, Thursday afternoon.

A spokesman told 680News they were called to the apartment building just before 2 p.m.

The fire, originally a zero-alarm, was bumped up due to large amounts of smoke. However, crews were able to contain it to the unit where it started, and did not have to evacuate the entire building.

The fire was put out within 15 minutes and no injuries were reported.

There is no word on what sparked the blaze.
