TORONTO, Ont. – Two women face a total of five charges following an assault on a 90-year-old man in the Gerrard and Greenwood area.
Police report the women were able to gain entry to an apartment building on November 17, around 6 a.m., because one of them was familiar with the victim.
Once they were in his apartment, investigators allege the women attacked the man and left him unconscious.
Debra Hinsley, 49, of Toronto, was arrested on Friday November 23, and faces robbery and aggravated assault charges. Melissa Cooper, 26, of Renfrew, was arrested the day after, and has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault and failing to comply with probation.
